Abstract
The article presents our own observations regarding the emergency services simulation conducted on 14.07.2017 in Działoszyn (Łódź Voivodeship) with the cooperation of the volunteer fire brigades, emergency medical teams, emergency medicine doctors and paramedics. Thanks to the involvement of the organizers, we managed to create a very realistic scenario of a mass accident involving a bus, a motorcycle, several passenger cars and a more than a dozen of injured. In the opinion of the organizers and the participants the simulation was successful; however, the further analysis has brought many interesting insights and conclusions which are the subject of the paper. The described scenario and the course of the mass accident simulation including the areas for improvement prove that the efficient operation of emergency services still requires refinement and further training in simulated conditions.
