PRINCIPLE OF POLITICAL NEUTRALITY OF PROSECUTORS IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROSECUTOR’S FUNCTIONS

Abstract
The article proposes to introduce in the legislation of Ukraine the principle of political neutrality of prosecutors when they perform the functions of the prosecutor’s office and analyze the content of this principle. Attention is focused on the fact that this principle is the principle of the activity of the prosecutor’s office, and not the principle of its organization. It is justified that in accordance with this principle prosecutors should be politically neutral when exercising the functions of the prosecutor’s office, they do not have the right to interfere in the political life of the state, to use their powers to achieve political results. According to the results of the study, proposals are made to improve the legislation.
