PRIVATE COMMENTARY TO THE PROBLEM ENERGY SECURITY OF UKRAINE

Abstract
The purpose of this work is to analyze the current state of fuel consumption in Ukraine and the production of electric energy; definition of factors threatening the energy security of Ukraine; to explore ways to eliminate crisis phenomena in the energy sector.The study is based on the use of laws, regularities and categorical apparatus. In the course of scientific research general scientific methods of research (comparison, generalization, method of analogies, structural analysis and synthesis), techniques of logical and theoretical analysis, and special economic and mathematical methods were used. The normative basis of the study was the official documents of various state and government bodies reflecting and regulating certain aspects of the system of energy security within the framework of collecting, processing and presenting information. As information sources, used legislative and normative acts, official documents of various state and government bodies regulating energy supply in Ukraine, materials of scientific conferences and seminars, resources of the global Internet information system, information from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. Theoretical basis of the research was the scientific works of domestic and foreign researchers in the field of energy security in the conditions of the transition economy. Scientific novelty іt is conditioned by the high dependence of the Ukrainian economy on the conjuncture that develops in its energy sector. There is a need to develop and implement ways to overcome threatening economic phenomena, which are the result of imbalances and energy crises. The factors contributing to energy security have been studied, which will determine the corresponding levels of energy security as a component of economic development. The problems highlighted in the work, closely related to the scientific and practical tasks of efficient use and distribution of available energy resources, development of alternative energy. Ukraine is a state with a high level of energy development. Today it is one of the regional leaders in the production of electric energy, a significant player in the world markets for some fuels (coal, uranium).
