ENERGY-SAVING MANAGEMENT IN START-BRAKING REGIMES BY FREQUENCY-ADJUSTABLE ASYNCHRONOUS MOTOR LOADED BY CENTRIFUGAL PUMP

Abstract

Purpose. Research and development of energy-saving control of a frequency-adjustable asynchronous engine, loaded with a centrifugal pump, which minimizes the main electromagnetic losses of engine energy in the start-braking regimes, and also compares the developed control with other known (linear, parabolic) types of speed control of this en-gine. Methodology. During the research methods were used: variation calculus, mathematical interpolation and simula-tion computer simulation. Results. The path of change in the speed of a frequency-adjustable asynchronous engine, loaded with a centrifugal pump, at which the smallest (in comparison with other known trajectories of velocity changes) electromagnetic losses of energy of this engine with this load for any values of acceleration and deceleration times. The linear, parabolic and qusi-optimal types of tachograms frequency-adjustable asynchronous engine, loaded with a centrifugal pump, are investigated for the dependence of the main electromagnetic losses of engine energy on the duration of acceleration and deceleration times. Electromechanical and energy processes in the frequency-adjustable asynchronous engine with pump loading under the mentioned various types of tachograms in the start-braking regimes have been studied. Universal dependencies are proposed and, on the basis of them, an engineering technique for determining quasi-optimal tachograms frequency-adjustable asynchronous engine with pump and fan loads in the start-braking regimes. Originality. It is proposed for the start-braking regimes of the frequency-adjustable asynchronous engine, loaded with a centrifugal pump, a quasi-optimal kind of tachogram that minimizes the main electromagnetic losses of engine energy in these modes. A "U"-shape of the dependence of these energy losses in the frequency-adjustable asynchronous engine with a given load during the start-braking regimes on the duration of acceleration and deceleration times for linear, parabolic and quasi-optimal tachogram types is established. Practical value. The use of a quasi-optimal tachogram for a frequency-adjustable asynchronous engine with a pumping load allows to reduce unproductive losses of the electric power of the engine and to reduce its heating in the start-braking regimes. The proposed universal dependencies and engineering methods allow for any types of induction motor and centrifugal pumps (fans) to determine quasi-optimal tachograms of frequency-adjustable asynchronous engine with a given load, which simplifies the subsequent introduction of quasi-optimal control in practice.
