Problems and prospects for development of livestock in the conditions of the euro-integration processes

Abstract
The article deals with the results of recent research and publications on the problems and prospects of livestock development in the context of European integration processes. The analysis of domestic livestock production was carried out, the actual issues of development in the conditions of European integration processes were determined. The ways of raising the prospects of the livestock sector development and enhancing its role in ensuring food security of the country in the conditions of European integration are substantiated. The main provisions of the transformational policy of state support of livestock enterprises and creation of conditions for strengthening of competitive advantages of domestic products with the purpose of ensuring an adequate level of food security of the country are outlined. Livestock is considered as a strategically important branch in the overall structure agricultural production. State support for the development of the livestock sector will allow to provide the population of the country with high-quality domestic production. The practical results obtained in the study process solve the problem with respect to substantiation of the necessity of the state influence on the development of the livestock sector. Definitive the priorities of state support for animal husbandry of Ukraine are: improving financial and credit and the state's investment policy in the context of accelerating the increase of cattle stock and the production of quality products by agricultural enterprises. The livestock sector is more important for the state, given its social status significance and taking into account the current state of development (prevalence in gross livestock production households that use obsolete technologies and do not guarantee proper safety products), which does not call into question the need for financial support of animal husbandry by the state.
