Problems and prospects of european traveler in Carpatian region

Abstract
Introduction. The course of Ukraine's rapprochement with Europe in the context of the implementation of the Association agreement with the EU set new tasks in various spheres of economic life. The tourist industry in Western Ukraine based on its natural and cultural wealth becomes a direction of deepening the cooperation with European neighbors. This makes the topic relevant and requires a more detailed study. Purpose. The aim of the study is to identify problems and prospects for increasing the number of European tourists in the Carpathian region. Results. Tourism is one of the most promising areas of service provision in Ukraine as a whole, and in particular in its western region. Favorable climate and beautiful nature, rich history and culture, architectural monuments and interesting places make our country a tourist attraction. Despite this, many tourist delights have been overlooked for many years. In our opinion, there are many reasons for this, among which, in the first place, the Ukrainians' low standard of living and mentality. However, given the fact that the inhabitants of the European Union are characterized by a number of features that promotes the growth of demand among them for tourist services. Thus, we consider attractive domestic tourist places for Europeans both in terms of price and originality. In this context, the most interesting and up-and-coming touristic spheres for Carpathian region we consider: city tourism; ecological tourism. However, the presence of visitable tourist attractions does not mean the influx of tourists. This requires the implementation of a number requirements and removes certain barriers. Conclusion. Nevertheless, the difficulties, in our opinion, are not insurmountable and can be corrected in the short and medium term. And let the "road" of Europeans to the tourist attractions of Carpathian region are still places of "thorny", our advantages prevail over the disadvantages, which, of course, leads to positive changes in the future. And the removal of some existing barriers, as well as those that could potentially arise, will allow Ukrainians not only to attract foreign tourists to local attractions, but also to integrate onto a single European tourist area.
