Abstract
The article examines the essential content of the concept of "risk", in particular in the context of the banking business. The essence of the bank risk management process is considered. Separated basic methods of bank risk management. Analyzed the effectiveness of the use of insurance as an effective tool for risk management of banks. Conducted grouping of banking risks for the purpose of insurance protection.
