PROBLEMS OF MEASURING THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY IN THE COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD

Abstract
The article deals with the phenomenon of deindustrialization and identifies the problems of measuring the phenomenon of deindustrialization in different countries of the world. It is proved that for today there is no single criterion or method of measuring this phenomenon. It is substantiated that industrial production has played a decisive role in creating new jobs by attracting redundant labor from agrarian and other traditional sectors of the economy, and directing this workforce to more cost-effective spheres of activity. In this regard, two main manifestations of deindustrialization, which are directly related to industrial production and services, are described: the process of a gradual transition from the production of goods to the production of services, in which the final product reduces the share of industrial production and increases the share of services that can also be explain the change in the share of the population employed in the production of goods and in the production of services and the reduction of industrial production in the structure of exports of a country or region.
