PROBLEMS OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE WORLD PEACE AND THEIR IMPACT ON GLOBAL ECONOMY

Abstract
The article reveals the main features of the problems of the formation of peace on Earth and their influence on the international economy. Particular attention is paid to the consideration of the Global Peace Index, which helps to rank the countries of the world in a state of tension in them. The Global Peace Index (GPI) is a method for determining the state of tension and peace in countries and regions. The Global Peace Index is the first study to determine the ranking of countries around the world in the list according to the state of the peace. The list was first published in May 2007. In 2018, the list includes 163 countries, and the number of countries on the list increases yearly. The Institute for Economics and Peace is a leading global analytical center that develops indicators for analyzing peace and quantifying its economic value. The Institute's research is widely used by governments, research institutions, analytical centers, non-governmental organizations and intergovernmental organizations such as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the World Bank and the United Nations. The annual Global Peace Index is based on a comprehensive analysis of 23 indicators for each of the countries listed. In the last decade, the world has a gradual decline in peace, the world is becoming increasingly volatile. The situation is deteriorating since 2014. In the period of 2008-2018, 85 countries worsened peace-keeping, and 75 countries have increased the level of peace. The gap between the least and the most peaceful countries con- tinues to grow in the period 2008-2018. Specialists of the Institute note that Europe has remained the most stable and peaceful region of the planet in recent years, although it has worsened its statistical indicators over the past three years. Mainly this tendency is caused by intense internal conflicts and relations with neighboring countries.
