Abstract
In the presented note chamber-junker Yuriy Aleksandrovitch Nelidov assess migration of the Russian population to the United States in the early twentieth century. He notes that in the United States, Russian workers are valued and, when production is cut back, they are last to be fired. Y.A. Nelidov predicted an increase in numbers of immigrants, which could undermine Russia's economic development. In addition, he proposed not only to legalize immigration, but also to provide support to immigrants in the United States by creating cultural centers around the churches. And organize functional system to transfer funds to Russia. The note is of interest as a document of its era. Due to the outbreak of the First World War suggestions of Y.A. Nelidov were not evaluated and never implemented.
