Abstract
The theoretical issues of professional, competitive selection of candidates for judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine in the light of the Law of Ukraine "On the Constitutional Court of Ukraine" and on the basis of the study of its legislative regulation in terms of compliance with European standards on judicial activities and specific national legislation are studied. In this context of the draft Law of Ukraine "On the Constitutional Court of Ukraine" (Reg. Number 5336-1 from 17.11.2016) is analyzed and the proposals for improving the Law adoptedin the first reading by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine are provided.
