PROGRESS OF URBAN DYNAMICS THROUGH CULTURE

Abstract
This paper points out the importance of cultural needs in forming the identity of the city and raises questions about the deterministic relationship with national and mass culture. The thesis of Michel Bashan, that culture is at the heart of urban dynamics, provides a wide range of both macro-sociological and for micro-sociological considerations. The aim of this paper is to point to some of the most important factors in the formation and transformation of culture in the midst of urban reality. Bearing in mind the fact that the cultural needs of socially conditioned, it is important to get the answers of the segments of the urban reality of decisive influence in shaping, transfer and adoption of cultural needs.
