THE ANALYSIS OF THE FOOTBALL TEAMS EFFICIENCY IN THE FIRST FIVE CHAMPIONSHIPS OF EUROPE

Abstract
The theme of the paper represents an important subject in the performance football and namely, the analysis of the efficiency periods of the football teams in the first championships of Europe. Based on such analysis, the coaches can form an image as clear as possible on the periods in which the teams have a higher or lower efficiency, which must be maintained, but especially which must be improved, in what periods the team did not have a high efficiency. In order to help the coaches, offering the image of a tendency recorded in the high performance football developed at European level, we have analysed the five most powerful championships in Europe which were identified based on the coefficients classification drawn by UEFA at the end of the season 2016-2017. Thus, we analysed the championships developed in the season 2017-2018 in Spain, England, Germany, France and Italy, in fact, as M. Jardin (2009) shows the championships which are part of the „Big 5”, each half time being divided in three distinct periods: 1st half (H1) during the periods 1-15, 16-30, 31-45, and the second half 2 (H2) during the periods 46-60, 61-75, 76-90.
