PROPOSED METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE VALUES OF TESTS FOR THE BALL-CRATERING METHOD
Journal Title: Tribologia - Year 2011, Vol 240, Issue 6
Abstract
The presented three-stage method of test parameter selection for the ball-cratering method allows one to determine the working conditions leading to wear scars with highly regular shape. Based on aforementioned regular wear scars, it is possible to determine the coefficient of specimen abrasive wear. The presented method has been applied to the multilayer coating (TiN/AlCrN)x5. The selected test parameters allowed, in an effective and efficient manner, to calculate the Kc wear coefficient, which is a positive verification of the proposed method.

THE INFLUENCE OF COOLING AND LUBRICATION LIQUID QUANTITY ON THE ISOTROPY OF A MACHINE COMPONENT SURFACE DURING MACHINING
This paper presents an initial verification of the influence of a cooling- -lubrication liquid or its lack on the geometric surface structure of machine components undergoing the process of machining. It has been propose...
INFLUENCE OF EPOXIDIZED SOYBEAN OILS ON LUBRICATING AND PHYSICOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF VEGETABLE OILS
The paper presents the antiwear, extreme-pressure and physicochemical properties of compositions of vegetable oils with epoxidized soybean oils as bases for biodegradable hydraulic oils. Epoxidized soybean oils were used...
