PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ORGANIC FOOD PRODUCTION INTERNET-TRADING OF DOMESTIC PRODUCERS

Abstract
The article deals with peculiarities and prospects of Internet trade in organic products in Ukraine. During the last decade, the number of Internet users has increased significantly not only in the world but also in Ukraine. There is a steady increase in demand for organic products, given the interest of consumers in the problems of environmental protection. So, purchases of organic products via the Internet are more and more popular. The purpose of the article is to substantiate effectiveness and determine prospects for the development of Internet-trading as a channel for the organic food production sale domestic producers. The specifics of the implementation of the said products on the Internet in Ukraine and abroad are analyzed through the use of methods of system analysis and logical generalizations. The results of marketing researches on commodity range and prices of the organic food production sale are given. As a result, it is found that such assortment groups as vegetables, fruit, meat products, sweets, semi-finished products, drinks and dietary supplements are presented on the shelves of virtual stores. Organic cosmetics, toys, clothes, home care products and others are sold, in addition to food products. The price of organic products significantly exceeds the price of traditional ones. This is due to the cost of organic product certification, complexity of its sales, losses from the refusal of the use of mineral fertilizers and other plant protection products which are used by conventional producers. According to the analysis of statistical information and generalization of references, it is noted that demand for organic food products in Ukraine is low compared to the developed countries of the world. The reasons are low level of solvency of the population, lack of awareness of target consumers and lack of guarantees regarding the high quality of organic food. The expediency of using Internet-trading for organic producers is proved in order to increase the efficiency of their operation. In particular, the expansion of the Internet market will optimize distribution channels, reduce implementation costs and improve the efficiency of marketing activities and, accordingly, the profitability of the enterprise.
