PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE EDUCATION BY SPECIALTY 014 "SECONDARY EDUCATION (BIOLOGY AND HUMAN HEALTH)" IN THE DONETSK REGION IN MODERN CONDITIONS

Abstract
Natural knowledge is an important element of the culture of an educated modern man. The latest achievements of science are brought to life thanks to the rapid development of biology. Pedagogical education is not a priority choice of graduates of general education schools, but in the Donetsk region there is an acute shortage of qualified teachers in natural sciences, in particular biology. The objective of this work is to substantiate the feasibility of starting training specialists of the first (bachelor) level of higher education in specialty 014 "Secondary education (Biology and human health)" as a prerequisite for creating the concept of educational activities in this area at the Donbas State Pedagogical University. Today, the problem of the Donetsk region is the insufficient staffing of general education institutions with biology teachers. There are numerous signs of a shortage of staffing teachers with a biological education. Accumulating evidence of a decline in the quality of biological education in schools in the region. All of the above forms in society the demand for qualified specialists - bachelors of secondary education, teachers of biology and the foundations of health. At the same time, the Donbas State Pedagogical University laid the foundation and accumulated considerable experience for training specialists in the specialty 014.05 "Secondary education (Biology and human health)" of bachelor’s level.
