Abstract
The article analyzes the state of research of the problem of mental health of a person, outlines the modern approaches to the analysis of this phenomenon, the methodological grounds for its study in the context of a holistic approach to the health problem. Outlines the criteria for mental health, its relationship with other components of human health and the determinants of its strengthening, maintenance or, conversely, relaxation.
