PSYCHOLOGICAL PECULIARITIES OF TEACHING FUTURE NAVIGATORS HOW TO WRITE BUSINESS CORRESPONDENCE IN ENGLISH

Abstract
In the given article the psychological peculiarities of teaching future navigators how to write business correspondence in English have been analyzed. Professional maritime business correspondence in English represents a transactional communication model that means a process of consecutive sending and receiving messages due to the arising problems during the transportation of goods from one seaport of the country to another maritime destination. The mental operations that must be performed by the navigators to solve these problems are under consideration. Three stages of business written contact development are presented, namely, pre-contact, contact and post-contact stages. Specifics of the navigators’ professional written communication are determined.
