QUALITY AND SAFETY OF DRINKING WATER IN THE WORLD AND IN UKRAINE

Abstract
The article analyses the main problems of the quality and safety of Ukraine's drinking water. Addressed global environmental problems related to the scarcity of clean drinking water. The article also provides data on the endowment of the world's natural water resources. A comparative description has been made of the existing regulations governing the quality of drinking water, the countries of the European Union, the USA and Ukraine. The main indicators of the physiological and toxicological safety of drinking water and the ways to improve them were considered.
