Quality of life of children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus

Abstract
Diabetes is one of the most common chronic diseases. It has huge impact on any affected child’s functioning. Also, it changes the way the family functions, as well as the physical, social, as well as mental or emotional states in the child. It presents a very big challenge for the sick patients and their parents. Quality of life surveys are a very important indicator of therapy effectiveness, but they also spur doctors to plan some further actions. It goes without saying that such research needs to be done, particularly when it analyzes the quality of life of children with type 1 diabetes.
