QUELQUES REMARQUES SUR L’USAGE DES PRONOMS COMPLÉMENTS DANS LE FRANÇAIS POPULAIRE CAMEROUNAIS: CAS DE /LE-LA-LUI-LES-LEUR

Abstract
Je la dis que, je lui ai vu, il faut la parler, etc. These sentences, which present the misuse of pronouns are frequent in basilectal French in Cameroon. The ones who listen to these sentences everyday blame the mismastery of standards norms of French usage language. They can be right. But, when we deepen the research, we can discover some motivations of these speakers to use the language this way. To understand this use of pronouns in Cameroonian French, we will use anthropological linguistics theory by William Foley. Relying on this theory, we will observe the linguistic culture of Cameroonians and their conception of pronoun usage, especially the pronouns-le-la-lui-les and leur- which are not easy to tackle. The results of this study show that their use suffers from confusion of grammatical class and pronoun gender due to linguistic insecurity.
