RANKING OF MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY SECTORS IN TURKEY WITH THE HELP OF PROMETHEE MULTIMOORA AND SMAA-2 METHODS

Abstract

In recent years, industrial sector has affected the competition policies of both developed and developing countries. Especially after the economic crises, the importance of the manufacturing industry has been emphasized again because it is impossible to talk about a competitive economy just in the presence of the service sector without production sector. In this study, it is aimed to rank the manufacturing industry sectors in Turkey based on different competition indicators such as average number of employees, value added, employment shares, number of workplace by using PROMETHEE, MULTIMOORA and SMAA-2 which are multi criteria decision making methods and the results are analyzed.
