READINESS OF TEENAGERS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES TO CREATIVE ACTIVITY AT LITERARY LESSONS

Abstract

The article deals with the readiness of mentally retarded teenagers to creative activities at Literary lessons. The ability to be creative is provided by all components of the personality. However, these components of teenagers with intellectual disa-bilities are complicated with the following subjective factors: the somatic state; unsatisfactory reading and speaking skills; undeveloped reading comprehension skills; lack of interest in reading literature. The author considers the lack of a proper creative environment as an objective factor: insufficient usage by teachers of methodical and illustrative material of the text-book as well as innovative technologies of teaching literature in order to develop the skills of reading comprehension, devel-oping an interest in reading literary works; mainly an indifferent attitude of parents to children’s reading.
