Reading Meaningful Children's StoriesUsing Critical Questions

Abstract
Reading ability andreading interest of Indonesian society is very low. This is partly due to the meaningless reading reading that children have an impact on the lazy reading experienced by children. In order for children to attain meaningful reading, they need to be accompanied by their parents or teachers as they read the book. However, not always a parent or teacher has enough opportunity to accompany the child in reading. Preparation of a series of critical questions at each end of the story can be an alternative to the presence of a parent or teacher. These critical questions will guide the child in discovering the values in the story he reads so that the child's reading becomes meaningful
