REDUCING ANXIETY IN SCHOOL - PREPARATORY CLASS WITH FAIRYTALES
Journal Title: PedActa - Year 2018, Vol 8, Issue 2
Abstract
The primary purpose of our research is to reduce the anxiety level of children according to the age-specific characteristics with the inner images created by the tale. At school, it is important to create an environment where the class's mood is not a fear but gives him a relaxed, intimate atmosphere. Teachers need to have methods, tools, procedures that alleviate social pressure on students and do not increase the number of sleepless nights. The interventions were built on the emotional intelligence developer's tales of Annamária Kádár. The aim of the research was also to provide concrete solutions for the children to overcome their fears and anxieties. Our hypothesis that emotional intelligence-developing tales have an anti-anxiety effect has been proven and statistical data show a significant decrease in the anxiety level of the intervention group compared to the control group.
