ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION, SMOKING HABITS AND PSYCHOTROPIC DRUGS AMONG STUDYING MUSICIANS
Journal Title: PedActa - Year 2018, Vol 8, Issue 2
Abstract
In our study we attempt to approach young people who are studying music in secondary schools from a psychological point of view, to bring our results into the educational field. In our research, we applied the life-management competency questionnaire, consisting of family background questions. In our online survey conducted in November 2017, 146 music school students participated. We have found that the parents’ higher school qualification has a protective effect on the child's habits of smoking, alcohol consumption and modification of the state of consciousness, and our results are significant in terms of the fathers' qualifications and the child's state of mind-altering drug use. By looking at the structure of the family, there was no difference found in the comparison with the previous aspects. From the research, it seems that there was no difference between the fact that they are raised by both parents or raised by the mother alone.
