Regionalne zróżnicowanie rozkładu drzewostanów w klasach wieku w Polsce

Abstract
The article presents assessment of regional variety of stands age distribution in Poland. Analysis were based on area volume stand tables according to dominant tree species elaborated for 430 basic administrative units of State Forests National Forest Holding, updated on year 2014. On the basic of this data classification of forest districts was performed according to way of stand distribution in age classes as well as indices of age variety of forest districts were described. It was stated that in almost 90% of forest districts predominate stands in age between 41–80 years, and in 6.7% significant share took old stands in age above 80 years. The most diversed according to age structure are stands located on mountains areas (Regional Inspectorates of State Forest in Kraków and Krosno) where stands with complex structure take the biggest share. The results found that: It was stated that information about stands area distribution in age classes should pay equal role in optimization process as used in practice stands average age of planning unit. Unequal distribution of stands area in age classes has various origins and depends on both managed natural factors. Always it is reason of difficulties in smooth flow of yield and proper distribution of area regenerated after felling.
