Relationship between Risk Management and Leadership Styles of Physical Education Experts in Department of Education in Fars Province

Abstract
This research aims at determining the relationship between leadership styles and risk management in Physical Education experts of offices in Education Department of Fars. The present research is a kind of correlation and was done in a survey method. Statistical population of this study was 69 subjects at the offices of Education Department. Data collecting tool was questionnaire of risk management and leadership styles whose validity and reliability were measured in various researches. In this study, superficial and content validity of research tool was taken into consideration by opinions and views of professors and experts, and its reliability was calculated by Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient Test- risk management questionnaire (α꞊0.84) and leadership styles questionnaire (α꞊0.78). The findings showed that there was a significant relationship between risk management behaviors and management and coaching experiences (P<0.05). On the other hand, no significant relationship was observed among risk management behaviors, experts’ level of education, and the status of coaching (P<0.05). According to the other results, there was significant difference between risk management behaviors in various levels of leadership styles (P<0.05). Despite the risk management behaviors in different levels of employment status, no significant difference was achieved. Finally, leadership styles were significantly associated with behaviors of experts’ risk management (P<0.05). The findings showed that levels of implementation of risk management behaviors of experts working at Physical Education Department were in an adverse condition. So, it is necessary and crucial to train more and making more appropriate opportunities for Physical Education experts of Fars Province in order to make them familiar to risk management methods and applying them in holding competitions and sporting events.
