Abstract
The purpose of the article is to investigate a religious component in the semantic structure of the Ukrainian and English axionomens. The usage of transcendental and existential elements of lexical meaning, individual forms of lexicographical explanation as well as axionomens capacity to intersect by means of common semantic indications (SIs) has been justified.
