RESEARCH ACTIVITY OF FUTURE PRESCHOOL TEACHERS AS A FORMATION FACTOR OF THEIR PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE

Abstract

The European integration processes in the system of education of our country actualize the need for effective training of competent specialists. It acquires special significance in respect of the future preschool teachers whose personal and professional mission is of exceptional social value. The matter concerns the importance of child's personality competent formation in the context of the basic level of the system of education of our country. A research activity of future preschool teachers remains an unappreciated resource for both scholars and practitioners on the subject of a formative impact on the formation of a competitive specialist in the sphere of preschool education. The purpose of this article is to specify the resources of students’ research activity in regard to their ability to reveal promising experience of practicing preschool teachers, which is the major segment of their professional training and the factor of preschool teachers’ creative personality development. To achieve this goal the analytical work on the base of existing research foundation has been carried out and outlined. In particular, the concepts of "competence", "self-dependence as a quality of personality", "self-educational activity", "research activity" have been clarified. The article presents the author's viewpoint concerning the specificity of the research activity of the students majoring in "preschool education" at a higher educational establishment. Taking the latest psychological and pedagogical research as a base in which the main facets of constructability of the activity-oriented approach are directly or indirectly presented, the article substantiates the principal characteristics of the research activity of the future preschool teachers in the context of the following parameters: subjective and objective aspects of activity, competent research activity. The resources of higher education in terms of intensification of the research activity of the future preschool teachers under the three levels: managerial and strategic, operational and didactic, methodical and tactical have been highlighted. As a result of the experience self-reflection the author has determined the interactive ways and means enabling the enhancement of the students' interest in the research activity which is the premise of their readiness to the identification of constructive ideas containing the experience of creative teachers. In the context of the highlighted levels, the resources, in particular, lectures-discussions, portfolio, brainstorming, project activities, thematic competitions, training exercises and other forms have been conceptualized. The parameters that set the effectiveness of the author's approach to intensify students’ research activity have been stated. It has been noted that the prospects for further research of the designated issues are seen in the plane of the use of interactive technologies to enhance students’ research activity in the logic of the subsystem "bachelor - master" of pre-school education.
