RESEARCH OF METHODS FOR INCREASING THE EFFICIENCY OF PATTERN RECOGNITION IN SYSTEMS FOR COLLECTING AND SORTING PLASTIC BOTTLES

Abstract

Nowadays the whole world is thinking about preserving the environment. One of the most important factors is the processing of waste, most of which is occupied by plastic bottles. The rapid development of plastic packaging processing plants, as well as the reception system as a whole, poses the task of quickly and correctly sorting. The article is devoted to the study of increasing the speed of recognition of plastic bottles by recognizing them on the image. Given the imperfection of existing methods for the recognition of plastic bottles, the use of computer vision for the identification ofplastic bottles is proposed. In the general task of recognizing plastic containers with the help of computer vision is to find objects that fall into the classification of plastic bottles, as well as finding objects that do not fall into this class. A method is proposed to speed up the sorting process not only in vending machines for the reception of plastic bottles, regardless of its shape and size, and does not worsen the accuracy of partial closing of the recognition object. Due to this, the method can be used not only in systems for the recognition and sorting of plastic containers on the basis of automatic machines as they are received, but also on the transport strips of plants for the processing of plastic bottles.
