RESEARCH OF WEAR OF RUBBER PLATES TO BE APPLIED AS A LINING MATERIAL IN MINES

Abstract
The article presents the research results of the wear of rubber samples being applied as protective plates in mines. The samples were abraded by abrasive loose particles. The particles were both sliding and impacting the surface layer of rubber sample while in drum-tube rotation. The weight method was used to measure wear. The rubber surface was also analysed with the aid of a microscope. It was concluded that the hardness of rubber has influence for the its wear. EPDM and Silicone rubbers with 60Shore degree hardness, the maximal had Viton 75Shore has the lowest loosening of mass. Materials with vulcanised fibres had the higher wear than materials without fibres.
