RESEARCH ON HYSTERESIS OF TRIGGERING PROBES APPLIED IN COORDINATE MEASURING MACHINES
Journal Title: Metrology and Measurement Systems - Year 2005, Vol 12, Issue 4
Abstract
The article presents selected results of investigation of triggering probe hysteresis in coordinate measuring machines. The research covered the hysteresis of pretravel of one-stage triggering probes equipped with a switching transducer (represented by TP6 probe), and two-stage probes equipped with a piezoelectric transducer (e.g. TP200 probe). The effects of stylus length, measurement pressure and approach speed to the measured surface have been included in the performed tests. The variance analysis methods have been used to evaluate the effects. The results, obtained in various conditions and using different probes, have been compared. As a result, optimum values of tested parameters have been estimated, as far as they concern the operation accuracy of the probe.

CHARACTERIZATION OF DEAD WEIGHT TESTERS AND COMPUTATION OF ASSOCIATED UNCERTAINTIES: A CASE STUDY OF CONTEMPORARY TECHNIQUES<br />
Estimation of uncertainty associated with pressure, measured by a dead weight tester is a key issue of recent times in pressure metrology. Though two different techniques have been used in the past yet there has been lit...
FREQUENCY-RESPONSE COMPENSATION OF DISTORTING PARTS OF MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS
In this article a class of digital correction filters is presented. This class of filters has been synthesized in an optimization procedure where two criteria are considered. The first criterion is an approximation of th...
A RELIABLE LOW-COST METHOD FOR ACCURATE CHARACTERIZATION OF ANTENNAS IN TIME DOMAIN
In this paper, a time domain-based approach to practical characterization of antennas is presented. The goal is to prove that time domain-based approach, after appropriate processing, represents an accurate and more prac...
PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF "FIELD PROGRAMMABLE ANALOG ARRAYS"
Field Programmable Analog Arrays (FPAAs) are reconfigurable analog modules introduced on the electronic market in the last decade. Their operation and, in particular, their programmability is achieved owing to the use of...
A STATION FOR THE RESPIRATORY MECHANICS MEASUREMENT BY OCCLUSION TECHNIQUES
In the paper, the stage for the evaluation of the respiratory mechanics by occlusion techniques is described. It consists of the hardware-software module of post-interrupter data acquisition, numerical procedures of the...
