RESEARCH ON HYSTERESIS OF TRIGGERING PROBES APPLIED IN COORDINATE MEASURING MACHINES
Journal Title: Metrology and Measurement Systems - Year 2005, Vol 12, Issue 4
Abstract
The article presents selected results of investigation of triggering probe hysteresis in coordinate measuring machines. The research covered the hysteresis of pretravel of one-stage triggering probes equipped with a switching transducer (represented by TP6 probe), and two-stage probes equipped with a piezoelectric transducer (e.g. TP200 probe). The effects of stylus length, measurement pressure and approach speed to the measured surface have been included in the performed tests. The variance analysis methods have been used to evaluate the effects. The results, obtained in various conditions and using different probes, have been compared. As a result, optimum values of tested parameters have been estimated, as far as they concern the operation accuracy of the probe.

METHODS OF QUALITY CHARACTERIZATION OF FOIL-BASED CAPACITORS
The quality of aluminium foil-based capacitors is sensitive to various technological parameters within the production process. There are a few methods of their quality assessment that can identify defects inside the woun...
OPTIMAL MEASUREMENT POLICY FOR DECISION MAKING: A CASE STUDY OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT BASED ON LABORATORY MEASUREMENTS
Measurement information generates value, when it is applied in the decision making. An investment cost and maintenance costs are associated with each component of the measurement system. Clearly, there is - under a given...
FREQUENCY-RESPONSE COMPENSATION OF DISTORTING PARTS OF MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS
In this article a class of digital correction filters is presented. This class of filters has been synthesized in an optimization procedure where two criteria are considered. The first criterion is an approximation of th...
A TRANSDUCER INTERFACE FOR RESISTIVE SENSOR ELEMENTS BASED ON THE USE OF A FLIP-FLOP<br />
This paper presents a new transducer interface. This interface serves the resistive bridges. The A/D conversion is based on the use of an auto-compensatory system with two digital-to-analog converters (DACs). A new measu...
THE TRANSPORTATION DISTANCE FOR FUZZY DESCRIPTIONS OF MEASUREMENTS
Fuzzy nominal scales were introduced in order to propose a formalism to the representation of empirical quantities by fuzzy subsets of words. This scale proposes a similarity relation and an associated bounded distance t...
