Researches Regarding the Influence of Cu Content on Static and Dynamic Properties of Sintered Steels
Journal Title: Leonardo Electronic Journal of Practices and Technologies - Year 2004, Vol 3, Issue 4
Abstract
The utilisation of iron powder in sintered steels subjected to variable loadings was confined because of their low fatigue resistance and the fact that this kind of loading is unknown for the users. Lately, a lot of effort was made to determine the fatigue behaviour and to identify new methods for improving these properties. In this paper are analyse the behaviour of elaborate materials from iron powder, DWP 200.28 with cooper addition, pressed at 600 MPa and sintered at 1120°C for 30 minutes in endogas. The cooper is add to improve the mechanical characteristics, by forming some favourable microstructures and more round pores from the material macrostructure. For this materials tensile resistance, elongation, Young modulus and the number of cycles until failure are analysed. We find that the cooper add say in a different way these properties.

Evaluation of ground level concentration of pollutant due to gas flaring by computer simulation: A case study of Niger - Delta area of Nigeria
The disposal of associated gases through flaring has been a major problem for the Nigerian oil and gas industries and most of theses gases are flared due to the lack of commercial out lets. The resultant effects of gas f...
Ethylated Urea - Ether - Modified Urea - Formaldehyde Resins, Part I: Structural and Physicochemical Properties
First, phenol - formaldehyde (PF) and urea - formaldehyde (UFII) resins were separately conventionally prepared in our laboratory. Also, UF resin synthesized from the acid modified synthesis procedure was synthesized in...
Evaluation of Causes of Retaining Wall Failure
Retaining structures are vital geotechnical structure, because the topography of the earth surface is a combination of plain, sloppy and undulating terrain. The retaining wall resists thrust of a bank of earth as well as...
QSPR on Estimating of Polychlorinated Biphenyls Relative Response Factor using Molecular Descriptors Family
The molecular descriptors family methodology was applied on relative response factor of polychlorinated biphenyls in order to obtain quantitative structure-property relationships. The use of molecular descriptors family...
Contributions of Vehicular Traffic to Carbon Dioxide Emissions in Kaduna and Abuja, Northern Nigeria
The quantity of carbon dioxide (CO2) contributed by automobile emissions to the environment was determined at some areas in Kaduna and Abuja in Northern Nigeria. Five census stations were selected in each of the two town...
