Respiratory manifestation showing a pyloric syndrome in young adult
Journal Title: JOURNAL OF FUNCTIONAL VENTILATION AND PULMONOLOGY - Year 2018, Vol 9, Issue 29
Abstract
Antropyloric stenosis is either ulcerative, tumoral or more rarely caustic. They are responsible for a syndrome of upper digestive obstruction, combining nausea and vomiting, dilation of the stomach with food and fluid stasis, weight loss and feeling of digestive discomfort. These digestive manifestations can cause a chronic cough. If pyloric stenosing hypertrophy in children is a clinical entity whose diagnosis and treatment are now well known, the same disease in adults is rare and more difficult to diagnose. We report on a case of pyloric stenosis in a 20-year-old adult admitted to our center for chronic cough persistent hiccups and vomiting. The patient was treated surgically and the follow-up was simple.
