Review on the monograph of Kalatur Maksym Vasylʹovych «The doctrinal basis of the organization and functioning of investigators law enforcement units»

Abstract
In modern conditions, researchers are increasingly turning their attention to issues related to the peculiarities of the organization and functioning of public authorities, the organizational and legal support of the activities of some of them, in particular, the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine and their separate departments. Particularly relevant today, in the context of reforming the law enforcement system, is the definition of the administrative and legal basis of the activities of the investigative units of the relevant bodies. This problem appears to be quite complex and multidimensional, requiring serious theoretical reflection and comprehensive analysis of the normative material accumulated in the process of practical implementation of their reform. However, without a clear definition of key theoretical concepts in this field it is impossible to speak of any serious modernization of public administration in the sphere of functioning of investigative units of law enforcement agencies of Ukraine. In this regard, the emergence of a monographic study, which reveals the administrative and legal foundations of the functioning of law enforcement agencies, is a very timely and important event in the scientific world.
