Risk management of venture capital investment in the food sector

Abstract

Given the fact that the full role of Ukraine in the system of international economic relations and the active development of integration links are possible on the basis of achieving economic security as a guarantor of its development and independence, relevant is the study of the question of increase of efficiency of functioning of the enterprises of the food sector, in particular by attracting venture capital investment. The aim of the study is to develop methodological approaches and performance management of investment projects of innovative character, through effective management to mitigate risks of investment. Research methods: systemic analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, analogy. The article studies the peculiarities of development of organizational and methodical approaches of management effectiveness of investment projects of innovative character, through effective management to mitigate risks of investment, which implies the availability of reliable information support, which is based on accounting. Despite the levels of development of strategy of economic safety of the enterprise as object of investments, substantiated component of risk management of venture investment (definition of the potential negative consequences of decisions, the creation of a mechanism to respond to the emergence of negative consequences, defining actions to neutralize or compensate for negative effects) and formed a risk management mechanism in the management system of the venture projects of the enterprises of the food sector. The expediency of application of the risk map and identified indicators for assessing the security of the enterprise, taking into account the industrial features of its activity, to attract venture capital investment. For the purpose of generalization of the results of the evaluation of the risk management system of venture capital investment procedure for the generation of an array of information about the economic policy of the enterprises of the food sector to evaluate the effectiveness of the risk management system of investing on the basis of appropriate credentials.
