Rozwój koncepcji międzynarodowej sieci kolejowej

Abstract
One of the most important issues in transport restructuring in European Union is creating common European railway area. However, in road transport section has been crated main international corridors and has been achieved cohesion, railway network is still not meeting the assumptions regarding the elimination of barriers to the free movement of goods and persons. Besides significant investments in high speed railways development, which are the most predestined to international role, there are still historical and geographical barriers which does not allow to create efficient railway connections, especially for passengers. Even though scientifics are concentrated on influence of railway network development on international economy and finances, it can’t be omitted such sections as: technology, defense, social relations, urbanization, architecture, film and literature, not only national, but even in international context. In this article has been presented determinants of international passenger railway network development.
