Abstract

An Movement that Aids in Child’s development — Taking Advantage of EDUballs in Pre-school and Early Childhood Education. A summary of 15 years of research The aim of the study is to provide an overview of the research that was carried out over a period of almost fifteen years, using educational EDUballs in pre-school and early childhood education. The educational EDUballs, developed at the University School of Physical Education in Wroclaw, are an innovative didactive teaching aid for pre-school and early childhood education, enhancing the teaching and educating processes. Putting the letters, numbers and characters on these balls allows them to be used extensively in different areas of learning while performing physical activities. Children participating in activities with EDUballs gain knowledge and skills in Polish language, mathematics, foreign languages and other subjects, as well as develop motor skills and improve physical abilities. Using EDUballs, in pre-school and early childhood education also works well in other educational areas, functioning as a revalidation and therapy in integration kindergartens and schools as well as therapeutic schools, inter alia for dyslexic children. Such games, playing and exercising designed in appropriate way using educational balls become a very helpful tool in the comprehensive preparation of a child for life, this is due to the specificity of the activities.
