SATELLITE NAVIGATION APPLICATION IN THE STUDIES OF MOTOR VEHICLE DYNAMICS

Abstract
So far in motor vehicles dynamics tests complex measurement chains, which included various types of devices and sensor, were used. The development of satellite navigation systems enables usage of apparatus of a new type in vehicle dynamic tests. In this paper a traditional measurement chain was characterized shortly and a modern VBOX apparatus, based on the new generation of satellite navigation receiver was discussed. The time dependences of characteristic vehicle motion parameters, obtained by VBOX apparatus and traditional measurement chain, were compared.
