Journal Title: Revista Cuarzo - Year 2015, Vol 21, Issue 1
Abstract
BACKGROUND: The aim of this research is to analyse the scientific production and burnout syndrome in teachers of Public Universities of the Department of Cesar - Colombia. METHODS: The study was based on an analytical and descriptive cross-sectional research; We worked with research groups registered in Colciencias - GrupLAC. To measure the variables the PC-SB L15Jiménez questionnaire was applied, aimed at re-search leaders and teacher-researcher. RESULTS: The results evidenced the fact that in developing the scientific production in Public Universities, the latent and sig-nificant levels of Burnout syndrome in teachers increase. CONCLUSIONS: Among the main conclusions we found, it is that there is a correlation between levels that increase latent burnout syndrome and the variables under study. Is evidenced that there is a need to define the scientific activity for both leaders and teachers - researches because there is inadequate presence of investigative activities and culture that generates environmental factors leading to the leaders and researchers teachers to an excessive scientific production that cause Burnout syndrome
