Scientific-Research Laboratory as the Organizer and Coordinator of the Innovative Scientific Environment of the Higher Military Educational Institution.

Abstract
The article states that the important part of the higher military educational institution activity is carrying out scientific research and the provision of the military specialists' training in accordance with the priority directions of the country's security and defense sector development. Thus, one of the ways of the effective solution to the problem of developing the scientific potential of the higher military educational institution is creating an appropriate creative scientific environment provided by the work of various research structures – centers, laboratories, scientific schools, discussion clubs, schools of young scientists, etc., where the scientific activity is one of the main tasks. The provision of proper physical training of servicemen for professional activity, the creation of conditions for the implementation of state policy in the sphere of physical culture and sports among military personnel are the primary tasks of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Physical Culture and Sports-Recreational Technologies of the National Defense University of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovsky, whose structural component is Scientific-Research Laboratory of Problems of Physical Education, Special Physical Training and Sports. In the process of writing the article, the following research methods were used: theoretical analysis of normative-methodological documentation, pedagogical and scientific-methodological literature – to determine the state of the research problem, methodological approaches to the activity of the research laboratory; observation, systematization – to state the main directions of the research and the scientific-research laboratory activities; generalization – to formulate conclusions. The article focuses on the role of the scientific-research laboratory, which is a structural unit of the higher military educational institution, as an organizer and coordinator of the innovative scientific environment of the educational institution in questions concerning scientific and methodological support for military-professional training and activities of servicemen in peacetime and in combat conditions. The methodological basis of the scientific-research laboratory activity has been identified. It comprises system, complex, research and strategic approaches. The main directions of the scientific research and activities of the Scientific-Research Laboratory of Physical Education, Special Physical Training and Sports of the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports-Recreational Technologies of the National Defense University of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovsky have been presented.
