SEJM'S CORRESPONDING ACTIVITIES THROUGH THE PRIZE OF THE NATIONAL QUESTION

Abstract
The article defines the historical and legal foundations of the organization and norm-setting activities of the Galician Sejm. The main attention is drawn to the political debate within the walls of the Seim, which were due not so much to the practical content of the issues as to the national factor. Proceeding from the fact that the Sejm was represented by Polish and Ukrainian deputies, the political debate in the Seimas was a manifestation of the interethnic confrontation, which sometimes alternated with the short-term understanding and political compromise.
