Selection of Appropriate Ceiling System for Concrete Residential Buildings using Group AHP Multiple Criteria Decision Making

Abstract

One of the most useful methods in the realm of multiple criteria decision making is AHP method that is used in the areas of manufacturing management and project management. On the other hand, based on the seismic threats in Iran it is very important to pay attention to designing resistant structures. In addition, the issue of saving energy and decreasing the price of project is discussed and as ceiling structures in the entire factors that we numbered can be influential; therefore in the manufacturing industry designing and manufacturing ceilings is very important. On one hand selection of appropriate ceiling system based of diversity of these systems and their unique characteristic is not an easy job. Decision making to apply the most appropriate ceiling system in a usual project is one of the most important issues in engineering and manufacturing management. Therefore, in this article tried to introduce a number of ceiling systems and different evaluation indexes, quality of selection of the best ceiling system using AHP group multiple criteria method considering experts ideas, introducing and hierarchy of decision making tree and finally priority of ceilings for to find the best ceiling. Result of this study showed that plolystailen block is the best option, but while relatively small decreasing of the weight, though the index of price of iron ceiling by weighting to the indexes is in the third grade, but has better application than other ceilings.
