SEMANTIC-STYLISTIC POTENTIAL OF ANTHROPOETONYMS IN THE NOVEL «HARDLY EVER OTHERWISE» BY MARIA MATIOS

Abstract
The object of research is anthroponymicon of the novel «Hardly Never Otherwise» by Maria Matios. The subject of research is lexical-semantic specificity and stylistic capabilities of anthropoetonyms as a holistic system of creative microworld of vivid representative of modern Ukrainian prose. The goal of the article is a research of semantic-stylistic potential of anthropoetonyms as components of artistic-imaginative system of writing and disclosure of system relationships between proper names in artistic text. The article is dedicated to the research of anthropoetonyms scope of the novel «Hardly Never Otherwise» by Maria Matios. It illustrats that descriptive proper names and anthropoetonyms which implement pre-onym semantics in the artistic text are an important expressive-pictorial means. System relationships between anthropoetonyms are shown. It is established that the concept of the author’s idea impacts the selection of poetonym distribution strategy and ways of its implementation. Conclusion. Anthropoetonyms of the novel have ideological and aesthetic capacity. Consideration of overall anthropoetonym’s scope of the work allows to track opposite relationships between particular proper name and identify their connotative capabilities better. Absorbing intra- and interlingual connotations, proper names derive new semantic overtones. The author’s attention to etymology of anthropoetonyms and their associative and imaginative rethinking confirm the importance of the poetonymic sector in the organization of artistic space of Maria Matios. Perspective of further investigation is considered in complex analysis of poetonymic space of artistic discourse of M. Matios.
