SEPARATION OF STATE POWER AS A CRITERION FOR THE CLASSIFICATION OF FORMS OF GOVERNMENT

Abstract
The article is devoted to the analys is of the theory of the division of state power as one of the main criteria for the classification of forms of government. The author substantiates the position that the distinctive differences between modern monarchies and republics depend on the established constitution and actually created mechanism for the formation of relations between the legislative, executive and judicial authorities, that is due to the model of division of state power and the corresponding system of checks and balances, which is crucial for the formation a specific form of government.
