Simple and Multi-collision of an Ellipsoid with Planar Surfaces. Part II: Example
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Eftimie Murgu" Resita. Fascicula de Inginerie - Year 2017, Vol 24, Issue 1
Abstract
This paper is a complementary one for our previous paper [25]. The collision of the ellipsoid is considered to take place with the main planes of the reference system. In our simulation we obtain the following results: no collision, collision with a single plane, simultaneous collision with two planes, simultaneous collision with the all three planes, and collision for a longer time with one or more planes.

Numerical Study of Shear Stress Around an Ideal Roughness
In EHD lubrication conditions the viscosity of the lubricants increases, occuring at high shear rates of plastic behavior. Previous researches showed that the shear stress in the film thickness of the lubricant may vary,...
Connection in Joints for Thin-Walled Steel Sections and Sheeting
Thin-walled cold-formed members are thin, this will give rise to behavioral phenomena, which are not usually encountered in the more familiar hot-rolled sections. When compared to hot-rolled steel sections, cold-formed t...
Quadcopter Stability Increased by PID Adaptive Tuning
Today's World is getting more efficient in mail deliveries or other applications using autonomous vehicles as drones because of their improved performances. The quadcopter appertains to the drone family having the advant...
Modeling of the Machining Surface Roughness Parameters for Steel Difficult to Machining
The objective of this study is to examine the influence of machining parameters on surface finish in turning. A new approach in modeling surface roughness which uses design of experimentsis described in this paper. The v...
The Importance of Optimal Design in Outdoor Light Source Positioning
In this work we underline the importance of the optimal design for out-door light systems such that light posts and sources are placed correctly. We present a case study where we considered a city road section equipped w...
