Simultaneous HPLC determination of Enalapril and Hydrochlorothiazide in Human Plasma and its pharmacokinetic application

Abstract
A sensitive and specific HPLC method has been developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of enalapril and hydrochlorothiazide in human plasma using C18 reversed-phase column.The average recoveries range from 0.005-0.1µg/ml and 0.01-0.2 µg/ml for each drug were 92.7% and 93.3 % respectively. The limit of detection were 2.5 and 0.14 ng /ml for enalapril and hydrochlorothiazide respectively. the validated method has been used successfully to study enalapril and hydrochlorothiazide pharmacokinetic, bioavailability and bioequivalence in 24 adult volunteers
