SKILLS DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONALLY-ORIENTED READING

Abstract
Authentic military and technical texts present a great difficulty for the readers. That’s why the article is devoted to the scientific problem of effective development and improvement of skills of professionally-oriented reading in English in the future military experts. The article gives the analysis of thebasic methods of working with the texts for specificpurposes oriented at foreign language classes. Short descriptions of types ofworking with the texts are given and relevant tasks and exercises are discussed.A complex of exercises for work with original scientific texts by profession aimed at reading skills formation (pre-text exercises), and the formation of reading skills (post-text exercises) for students of technical universitiesare developed.
