Abstract
The article focuses on the issues related to the translations of Slovak contemporary literature into Polish in recent years. It considers the translation and reception of the Slovak literary works in the Polish market which has strongly intensified recently thanks to the activity of the Polish publishing house, Książkowe Klimaty. The article analyses the translations published by Książkowe Klimaty in the series Słowackie Klimaty which play the role of mediation, by promoting understanding between two cultures belonging to the common Central European circle of nations.
